The Aviation Basics Program at Ellington Field, Houston TX

The Teamsters Airline Division, The Aviation Mechanics Coalition and Northrop Rice USA have partnered to offer an educational foundation for anyone seeking to get qualified for an entry-level job at manufacturers, MRO, and repair facilities where aircraft maintenance certificates are not always required.

After an online course and eight-week onsite course, you will have the knowledge and skills you need to enter the aviation industry through employment in fields like:

  • General Aviation (smaller aircraft)
  • Corporate (business aircraft)
  • Helicopters and EMS
  • Commercial (airlines)
  • Repair Stations
  • Modification Centers
  • Manufacturing
  • Defense Contractors
  • Public Use (Government)
  • Aerospace Organizations

Once established in the field, graduates may also begin to build the hours required to take the A&P exam to become a fully licensed Aviation Maintenance Technician.
