· Designs solutions for solving complex customer problems using company or customer furnished equipment

· Installs, develops, implements, and customizes hardware and software system elements

· May work on equipment or software design; engineering evaluation or test; configuration management procedures; statistical analysis and modeling

· Works with end users and may assist with training

· May provide technical expertise through identification of new processes and technical alternatives to resolve problems and/or for general improvements


· Seven to nine years telecommunication and networking experience

· DoD Secret level clearance

· Ability to obtain a DoD TS/SCI clearance/access

· Demonstrate advanced Linux administration skills

· Ability to plan, organize, and document complex system design activities

· Able to configure systems to be consistent with institutional policies/procedures

· Able to communicate technical/complex information both verbally and in writing

· Able to script/automate in Windows or Linux environment

· Able to patch and update operating systems and applications

· DoD 8570 IAT II certification


· Experience with Agile development

· Possess current generation Microsoft certification, Linux certified administrator, or similar certification

· VMware experience and/or certification

· Familiar with DoD IT standards, including STIGs

· Demonstrate intermediate level VMware skills and experience with installation, configuration, and administration of ESXi 5.x, vSphere 5.x, and/or vCloud 5.x suites

· Demonstrate intermediate level Windows 7, Server 2008/2012 (DNS, IIS, SQL Server, Domain Controller, Active Directory role configuration experience)
