Must be capable of planning, coordinating, and directing the activities of administrative, program control, and technical personnel involved in providing services in fulfillment of the contract. Must have a thorough understanding and experience in the complete life-cycle of the software in military systems. Must have knowledge and experience with Department of Defense (DOD)/Army plans, policies, standards, and methods aimed at the acquisition and support of software and computer resources for Army systems. Must be capable of managing and controlling schedules and cost to provide on time, within budget, performance of all aspects of the contractual effort. Must be capable of providing direction for operations and ensuring compliance with all management policies, plans, and procedures. Must be capable of providing recommendations for resolution of technical problems. The Program Manager must at all times be a role model to subordinate employees, be a workforce motivator, and be a provider of constructive criticism. Army Acquisition Corps Level 2 certification in logistics, program management or information technology is highly desired OR recognized industry equivalent professional certification.



General Responsibilities:
The Program Manager, SSES NexGen develops, implements, coordinates, supervises, budgets, and evaluates functions of Support to SEC Software Support Environments and Facilities and provide PPSS/PDSS, Field Support, RDIT Support, Rapid Reprogramming Support, System Integration and Exercise Support, Software Architecture and Technology (A&T) Support, Software Technology Demonstration and Transition. Army Interoperability Engineering, Data Strategy, Configuration Management and Standards Support Cyber Security, IA and SA Support, IT Infrastructure Support
Information and Business Application Services Support, EA-TJTN Action Office. Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) Support, Strategic Initiatives, Miscellaneous Support, ERP, SOA Analysis Support
Virtualization Support


Mandatory Skills:

• Capable of planning, coordinating, and directing the activities of administrative, program control, and technical personnel involved in providing services in fulfillment of the contract;
• Have a thorough understanding and experience in the complete life-cycle of the software in military systems; Knowledge and experience with Department of Defense (DOD)/Army plans, policies, standards, and methods aimed at the acquisition and support of software and computer resources for Army systems;
• Managing and controlling schedules and cost to provide on time, within budget, performance of all aspects of the contractual effort;
• Providing direction for operations and ensuring compliance with all management policies, plans, and procedures. Providing recommendations for resolution of technical problems.
• The Program Manager must at all times be a role model to subordinate employees, be a workforce motivator, and be a provider of constructive criticism.


Preferred Skills:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficient in Microsoft Project
• Experienced in OCONUS travel policies/procedures (JTR)
• Experience using SPOT
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Knowledge of Privia, GovWin, and MCMS
• Knowledge of CHESS processing
• Experienced using SharePoint/ContstantView
• Experienced using PeopleSoft Expenses/ADTRAV (ePro/sPro

• Preferred that candidate has PMP or Defense Acquisition University (DAU) certification.


10 Years of experience working on computer systems engineering and/or software development
