About the Position:
Finance Operations, Manager, Consolidations is responsible for managing consolidation accounting activities by overseeing the review of intercompany transaction reconciliations. Analyses intercompany transactions and reviews eliminations and adjustments. Reports to the Director, Corporate Accounting and is responsible for providing intercompany consolidations to drive holistic review of accounting.
Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Responsible for reconciling and meeting accounting policies and reporting requirements.
Reviews intercompany transactions, processing and recording of intercompany eliminations and adjustments.
Supports the remediation of Service Company bills to ensure accuracy.
Provides guidance on non-routine reporting transactions.
Ensures proper reconciliation and filing to meet U.S. GAAP, Sarbanes – Oxley, SEC and IFRS requirements.
Facilitates the collection of documentation to support audits.
Responsible for ensuring maintenance of financial records meet policy and procedure standards.
Partners closely with Director, Governance / Corporate on any identified risks or issues concerning reconciliations or accruals.
Provides counsel to employees, manages third party consultants and contractors, and advises senior leaders as necessary.
Builds and manages results-driven teams by taking a strategic and technical view of performance management by involving employees in planning, relationship building, decision-making, forecasting, and analysis processes.
Ensures proper support to meet business requirements of financial and non-financial controls.
Knowledge & Experience Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, Master’s Degree preferred.
7+ years in accounting.
Experienced managing teams.
Demonstrated ability to drive intercompany consolidation processes.
Background in utility service or similar industry accounting preferred.
Ability to address accounting issues and implement solutions.
Ability to meet deadlines with competing priorities.
Effective collaboration and partnership capabilities.
