Undersea Warfare Engineering Technician (Job Number:417850)

Description:



This position will provide U.S. Navy Combat Systems engineering and technical support and subject matter expertise to Mid Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) in support of the AN/SQQ-89, AN/SQS-53 (variants) Undersea Warfare/Anti-Submarine Warfare Combat System (USWCS / ASWCS) and associated subsystems on board U.S. Navy ships. The selected candidate will support the removal, refurbishment, installation and adjustment and test of the USWCS/ASWCS systems and subsystem components.

Qualifications:
REQUIRED GENERAL EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A minimum of six (6) years full-time hands-on technical experience within last 15 years in the operation, maintenance, installation, test, and/or repair of U.S. Navy Undersea Warfare/Anti-Submarine Warfare Combat System (USWCS / ASWCS) and other electrical/electronic systems/equipment incorporated in Combat, ASW, USW, MIW, or C4I systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: A minimum of four (4) years full-time engineering experience within the last 10 years with Undersea Warfare/Anti-Submarine Warfare Combat System (USWCS / ASWCS) systems and subcomponents.

CERTIFICATIONS and QUALIFICATIONS: A current Passive Countermeasures system (PCMS) qualification is a plus.

Ability to work independently or as part of a maintenance team, while performing engineering support services related to:

- Engineering Change Installations

- Technical Assists

- Systems Certification

- INSURV's

- Material Condition Assessments

- System Installations

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Active DOD Secret

TRAVEL REQUIRED: Up to 25%
