ManTech is currently seeking a Systems Engineer in support of our programs located in Dahlgren, VA.

Systems Engineer position supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) on the AEGIS and Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) surface ship program in Dahlgren, Virginia. The position provides support to the Aegis In-service Baseline Manager. Specifically the position involves performance of the following tasks:
• Conduct Approved Articles Package (AAP) audits on AEGIS and AEGIS BMD COTS ships
• Assist ships in managing the certified configuration
• Generate AAP Audit Reports to document audit findings and trends
• Maintain Approved Articles Package (AAP)
• Review technical documents for impact to AWS operational baselines
• Monitor Equipment Engineering Changes And Test Changes to AWS
• Provide recommendations regarding conjunctive changes, CPCRs, and test requirements
• Monitor Equipment Engineering Changes And Test Changes to AWS COTS
• Evaluate changes to Lowest Replaceable Units (LRU) and media items to identify potential impacts to AWS operating environments
• Participate in change control boards and diminishing material groups to assess changes from an AAP perspective
• Support verification of Virginia sites configurations continued AAP compliance
• Travel is required in the continental United States, Hawaii, Spain, and Japan

Clearance: Secret

Level of experience/Education:
• United States citizen and an active secret clearance
• Possess knowledge of the Navy’s AEGIS combat systems
• Experience with UNIX and LINUX operating systems
• Bachelor’s degree in an associated discipline and at least 4 years of related experience, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 6 years of related experience
• Experience as a U.S. Navy Firecontrolman highly desirable
