This position will provide U.S. Navy Combat Systems engineering and technical support and subject matter expertise to Mid Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) in support of Sonar Auxiliary equipment stated below. Applicant will provide technical support, system testing, inspections and assessment assistance on Surface Sonar Systems/equipment (all mods), peripherals and interfaces. These systems will include but are not limited to Surface Sonars, including SQS-53, and SQS-56 variants, Underwater Sounding Systems, Underwater Communications Systems, Surface Ship Torpedo Defense Systems and In-Situ measurement systems. This position will include support for sonar auxiliaries including, but not limited to, AN/WQC-2A, AN/UQN-4A, AN/BQH-7A and AN/SLQ-25() systems and subsystems.

Qualifications:
A minimum of (10) years specialized experience troubleshooting and repair of sonar auxiliary systems and subsystems which include AN/WQC-2A underwater communications, AN/UQN-4A Fathometers, AN/BQH-7A Bathythermographs and AN/SLQ-25() Torpedo Defense Systems.

A minimum of (15) year’s general experience with troubleshooting, repair, logistic Support of sonar and/or equivalent systems and subsystems.

Proficient in Microsoft Office programs necessary for report filing.

Candidate one: Technician to provide scheduling, coordination, reporting and testing for Surface Sonar Transducers using AN/WQM-9 Test Equipment and TAAS or similar scheduling programs.

Candidate two: Technician for sonar auxiliaries including, but not limited to, AN/WQC-2A, AN/UQN-4A, AN/BQH-7A and AN/SLQ-25() systems and subsystems.

REQUIRED GENERAL EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A minimum of (10) years specialized experience troubleshooting and repair of sonar auxiliary systems and subsystems which include AN/WQC-2A underwater communications, AN/UQN-4A Fathometers, AN/BQH-7A Bathythermographs and AN/SLQ-25() Torpedo Defense Systems.

A minimum of (15) year’s general experience with troubleshooting, repair, logistic Support of sonar and/or equivalent systems and subsystems.

Proficient in Microsoft Office programs necessary for report filing.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

A minimum of (8) years specialized experience with testing transducer arrays and Cables using AN/WQM-9 or equivalent equipment.

A minimum of (10) year’s general experience with troubleshooting, repair, logistic Support of sonar and/or equivalent systems and subsystems.

Proficient in Microsoft Office programs necessary for report filing.

OTHER CERTIFICATIONS and QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Candidates must be proficient in drafting Material Assessment Forms (MAF), Technical Assistance Visit Reports (TAVR), AN/WQM-9 reports and providing INSURV reports using PRISMS program/software.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Active DOD Secret

TRAVEL REQUIRED: Up to 25%

PASSPORT REQUIRED: A valid unexpired U.S. Passport is required.
