MK-36 & MK-53 DECOY LAUNCHING SYSTEMS ON-SITE SUPPORT TASK (Job Number:419039)

Description:



This position will provide U.S. Navy Combat Systems engineering and technical support and subject matter expertise to Mid Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC), Code 292 candidate shall conduct specified engineering/technical evaluations, perform equipment functional checks, perform troubleshooting/test/analysis and equipment repair to correct MK-36 & MK-53 Decoy Launching Systems, operation, maintenance, and connectivity faults. The candidate shall provide Onboard Maintenance Training (OBMT) to Ship's Force technicians in the operation, repair, and maintenance of the MK-36 & MK-53 Decoy Launching Systems. The contractor shall perform/provide support during shipboard Combat Systems tasks including TSRA, INSURV and Tech Assist events.

Additionally, assist Ship's Force technicians and government personnel at assigned locations to analyze and resolve malfunctions detected during equipment operation and test. Analyze equipment review and inspection data to determine source of fault, and recommend repair, replacement, or other corrective action.

Suggest equipment engineering changes toward improving quality and reliability and to facilitate installation, maintenance, and repair. Report findings/discrepancies as required to the designated TEAM LEADER and/or Branch Head 292 via 2-kilo, Prisms/ETC Software, de-brief and/or write a Technical Assistance Visit Report (TAVR) within five working days of completion of task.

Qualifications:
REQUIRED GENERAL EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

Candidate shall place material orders for parts, supplies, and services as required in support of various Combat Systems Programs. The candidate shall track all items in a computer database as to date ordered, shipped, and received; signing for receipt when items are received and ensuring items are transferred to the individual who submitted the requisition. Candidate shall maintain communication with the DLA customer account specialists, supply support center personnel, business office and financial departments. Tracking of ship repair parts data related to the Combat Systems Division shall be processed along with Material Condition Review results using computer software to maintain a database.

Candidates shall demonstrate proficiency in the use of TAAS, MAT and MRQT software systems. Additionally, candidates shall have extensive experience using One-Touch, DoD Emall, Logicom and WEBFLIS to research supply issues.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE:

Furthermore, candidate must demonstrate a minimum of four (4) years general hands-on experience performing programmatic and liaison support of varying levels by communicating, presentation of data, establishment of data bases and processes, conducting business, resolving scheduling and milestone date problems for the various customers.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:

Candidate should demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of both: MK-36 & MK-53 Decoy Launching Systems maintenance. The candidate shall demonstrate over 3 years of experience operating, maintaining, trouble- shooting, and testing MK-137 Mods 7 & 10 Nulka Launchers, MK-137 Mods 1, 2, &4 SRBOC Launchers and system components. Candidates should be proficient using general and special purpose electronic test equipment to perform organizational level maintenance.

Additionally, candidates should specifically outline any experience gained being a graduate of NAVY Electronic Warfare (EW) C-School and experience gained conducting previous MK-36 & MK-53 maintenance and repair. Also, candidates should specifically outline attainment of special skills such as basic soldering and connectorization skills etc. Additionally, any formal instructor experience should be annotated in the resume. Attainment and inclusion of these special skills in the resume may be considered more advantageous to the government.

OTHER CERTIFICATIONS and QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

The candidates shall comply with any and all applicable NAVSEA Standard Items in the execution of this task order. Technical representatives on this task shall have and maintain a valid CPR Certification from a Nationally Accepted organization.

C.10 REQUIRED GENERAL EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: A minimum of six (6) years full-time hands-on technical experience within last 15 years in the operation, maintenance, installation, test, and/or repair of electrical/electronic systems/equipment incorporated in Combat, ASW, USW, MIW, or C4I systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: A minimum of three (3) years full-time engineering experience within the last 10 years in Combat systems, ASW, USW, MIW, or C4I in a hand on or supervisory capacity over technicians operating and maintaining Combat, ASW, USW, MIW, or C4I systems. Supervisory capacity includes: Team leader performing engineering support services such as:

(1) engineering change installations

(2) technical assists

(3) systems certifications

(4) INSURVs

(5) material condition assessments

(6) systems installations

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: The minimum security required is Active DOD SECRET.

TRAVEL REQUIRED: Up to 25%
