Help Desk Technician (Job Number:419527)
SAIC has a contingent job opportunity for a Help Desk Technician.
This position is contingent upon contract award and located in Mechanicsburg, PA.
The Help Desk Technician may serve as the technical lead for a team of Help Desk Technicians who are responsible for telephone, online, and in-person support to users in the areas of e-mail, directories, standard desktop applications, customized applications, network, and connectivity. The Help Desk Technician may work alone or as part of a team serving as the initial point of contact for troubleshooting problems for computer hardware, software, printers, network, and connectivity and maintains help desk records of all problem calls. The Help Desk Technician reports orally and in writing to the Program Manager, Project Manager, Task Manager, Help Desk Manager and may report to government representatives.
- Two (2) years of technical experience providing phone and in-person support to users in the areas of e-mail, directories, standard Windows desktop applications, and applications developed under contract.
- Requires competence in serving as the initial point of contact for troubleshooting hardware/software PC and printer problems.
- Demonstrates ability to work independently or under general direction.
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
