CGI Federal is looking for a mid-level System Administrator with the skill set and level of experience to support the Operations and Maintenance of the Library of Congress Web Content Management System. In this role you will perform System Administration for Software that manages content and deployments for selected loc.gov and other Library of Congress web properties that are used to publish static content as well as deploying some application for dynamic sites.
Provide System Administration for software used to manage LC blogs and selected additional content for loc.gov.
Multiple WordPress installations supporting internal and external customers.
Perform system administration for the Atlassion tools use as a Collaboration platform for Wiki style sites.
Also used for software development lifecycle management including bug tracking, course control and Agile process management.
Perform System Administration for software used to manage content for loc.gov search and collections content and software used to internally manage ticketing and development for selected web projects including software used to internally manage audio and video for loc.gov and other Library of Congress web properties.
Perform the optimizing of system operation and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
Provide assistance to users in accessing and using business systems.
Commensurate experience and education.
Responsible for the day-to-day operational maintenance, support, and upgrades for operating systems, workstations and servers.
Under general supervision, performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.
Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum performance levels.
Ensures workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions.
Ensures data/media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
Implements and promotes standard operating procedures.
Conducts hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
Experience with HP/Autonomy Teamsite and OpenDeploy Content Management System or similar type tools
Experience with WordPress or similar type tools
Experience using Atlassion JIRA and Confluence
Experience with Trac or similar internally ticketing system for development of web projects
Experience with Media Management Systems for websites
