Business Manager (Contingency Hire)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: Directs KBR business services organization in all aspects of Accounting and Finance, Human Resource Management, Project Controls, Contract Management/Administration, Procurement/ Materials Management, Quality Assurance, Health/Safety/Environment, and Information Technology. Directs development and preparation of financial reports, including the analysis of budget variances.
Monitors, advises, and projects flow of actual costs incurred throughout the year in comparison with the related budget.
Ensures contract is managed in accordance and compliance with the Federal Acquisition Register (FAR).
Provides human resource and labor relation services to ensure the technical competency, skills, knowledge and behavior of the organization.
Oversees all aspects of supply chain management.
Directs the maintenance of computer systems needs for project management office (PMO) business operations including hardware, software and interfaces between systems.
Guides the development and implementation of system improvements
Direct the warehouse operations functions to ensure materials management efforts are conducted in accordance with KBR established processes and practices. Provides leadership by directing the efforts of personnel involved in providing a variety of support to the entire organization.
Responsible for the overall performance of the assigned departments and functions. Provides operational oversight to ensure work is accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner. Insures awareness and monitors employee compliance with all applicable company directives, policies, and procedures. Coordinates activities involving the customer, other organizations, and/or company functions. Responsible for defining training requirements, developing employee skills, and promoting continuous improvement. Develops and implements performance standards and internal controls.
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE / ABILITIES :
EDUCATION: BS or BA in accounting and finance and/or business administration from a four (4) year, accredited institution is required.
Masters in Business Administration (MBA) is required.
CERTIFICATIONS: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is highly desirable. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desirable.
EXPERIENCE; Fifteen (15) years general accounting experience with a minimum of ten (10) years managing Finance and Accounting programs.
Familiar with automated accounting systems, spreadsheet and word processing application Understanding annual, long term and strategic business plans and goal. Direct experience in U.S. Government accounting processes and practices required. Eight (8) years minimum experience in leading and managing a business operations or similar type organization is required.
ABILITIES: The candidate must be a self-starter capable of working in a fast paced multi-discipline team environment with the ability to manage competing priorities to achieve team goals.
Proven management skills to include effective planning, organizing, directing and controlling with strong decision making capabilities. Excellent analytical skills – data driven, fact based, root cause focused. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills to lead a team to consensus.
Understanding of litigation and claims processes and experience with legal communities.
Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and listening.
Ability to interact with staff at all levels from craftpersons to senior executives.
Knowledge base to successfully diagnosis issues that cover multiple areas of interaction.
Active Secret Clearance with at least 122 months of remaining validity
Familiarity with the FAR/DFARS/AFARS and USG (RICC, DCMA, DCAA) work processes is required.
Experience with the DCMA - Defense Contract Management Agency and DCAA – Defense Contract Audit Agency will be a differentiator
Fluent in English language
Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 12 months of remaining validity AND with at least 6 blank visa/stamp pages remaining
Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity
