Computer Network Technologist
Put your years of experience into a future of excellence at CGI. CGI is seeking an experienced Computer Network Technologist to support operations at our San Angelo, TX location.
Installs, tests, analyzes, and provides problem resolution for software & hardware elements of the training network. Provides technical analysis in training network software and hardware planning, engineering, and design. Monitors software and hardware components ensuring training network is operational at optimum levels to provide maximum availability. Analyzes user requests to determine needs, and recommends appropriate software and hardware. Position makes corrections necessary to systems hardware ensuring the availability of the training network. Evaluates and reports on new software and hardware technologies to enhance the capabilities of the training network. Proposes solutions to management for training network requirements based upon future needs and current usage, configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings. Maintains servicing and maintenance activities. The work is completed on a military installation in environmentally controlled server rooms, classrooms & office areas.
Possession of an ACTIVE Top Secret/SCI security clearance is required to begin employment.
Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.
Possess A+ certification (Minimum) or gain A+ certification within 6 months of hire.
Must be willing to work alternating shifts.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies:
Knowledge of Military Intelligence software applications desirable (ARCgis, GALE, etc).
