Clubs and Activities Manager (Contingency Hire)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
uties include but not limited to ensure the financial viability of the food and beverage operation as well as the supervision of the employees of all six (6) MWR Clubs and food outlets. The Manager is also responsible for hiring; training; and scheduling as well as maintenance of all facilities and equipment associated with the same. The position works hand-in-hand with recreations on events both joint and specific to the departments
. The Manager is responsible for planning of all events per fiscal year to align with the projected budget. The Manager places importance on client satisfaction through ensuring food service quality; enhancing the overall ambiance of each club setting; greeting patrons; and developing promotions.
Other duties include ensuring that all safety, sanitation, energy management, preventive maintenance, quality, and other standards are consistently met. Finally the Manager leads the planning and implementing procedures for special club events and banquet functions.
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE / ABILITIES :
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major study in business management in one or more areas of an appropriate field of food and hospitality management.
CERTIFICATIONS: ServSafe ®
certificate by National Restaurant Association or equivalent. EXPERIENCE; Five (5) years of specialized experience as a NF-4 of NAFI or as a middle manager in a similar or equivalent capacity in civilian commercial business. Three (3) years’ experience in recreation, food, beverage, and entertainment operations.
ABILITIES: The candidate must be a self-starter capable of working in a fast paced multi-discipline team environment with the ability to manage competing priorities to achieve team goals.
Proven management skills to include effective planning, organizing, directing and controlling with strong decision making capabilities. Excellent analytical skills – data driven, fact based, root cause focused. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills to lead a team to consensus.
Understanding of litigation and claims processes and experience with legal communities.
Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and listening.
Ability to interact with staff at all levels from craftpersons to senior executives.
Knowledge base to successfully diagnosis issues that cover multiple areas of interaction.
Must hold US Passport
Fluent in English language
Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 12 months of remaining validity AND with at least 6 blank visa/stamp pages remaining
Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity
