Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Systems Architect to join our team in the Mclean, VA area to provide unparalleled support to our customer and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech. The selected individual will be a resource to help development teams build, review and improve their system design and pipeline design documents for the 150 or so systems at USCIS.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide quality assurance technical services across USCIS OIT, OTC and VIS information technology programs for Agile development projects, with the vision of moving the organiztaion to Development and Operations (DevOps)
  • Deliver Application Design Document for existing USCIS IT systems and applications that are to transition from DHS SELC SDD template to tailored, lean systems design documentation format
  • Deliver Pipeline Design Document for USCIS IT systems and applications that are following Team Managed Deployment policy signed by the CIO, to perform continuous integration and continuous delivers
  • Provide support for process improvement work
  • Act as SME for analysis on IT systems and applications enhanchements and deployments
  • Provide development teams with recommendations for software design improvements
  • Identify opportunities for standardization
  • Evaluate alternative technology/environments, where efficiencies could be gained by migrating to other USCIS technology stacks

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and three or more years of expereince or equivalent experience in lieu of degree
  • Proficiency in segment architectures and system-level interfaces/interactions is an essential competency
  • Expertise in technical infrastructure is preferred
  • Experience in supporting agile software design/development methodology
  • Experience in DHS and USCIS systems and processes are preferred
  • Ability to work in Mclean, VA as well as onsite with the customer in DC is required
  • Ability to multitask and work several projects simultaneously
