Plan and deliver a range of Program assurance activities for Programs assigned from the overall portfolio. This will include preparing Program assurance strategies, carrying out Program and project end stage assessments, Go/No Go reviews and health assessments.
Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
·To assist the Director, Program Assurance in the development of assurance strategies for Programs and Projects.
·Carry out End Stage Gate reviews for Programs and Projects.
·Carry out health checks as required.
·Prepare and submit Assurance reports to Program and Project Boards.
·Carry out Go/No countdown reviews and submit status to Boards.
·To provide trend analysis on end stage and health check data required by Senior Management at regular Steering Committee Meetings and to adhere to the in house governance framework.
·To review the output from stage gate assessments and to ensure completion of remediation tasks / action plan by relevant stakeholders.
Knowledge & experience in the following areas is preferable:
·Good project assurance experience, Big 4 experience preferable with proven track record for delivering audits and/or assurance within multinational utility/asset management companies or operations/functional experience from utility/assessment management companies.
·Good knowledge and understanding of project methodologies, audit delivery and practices, internal control frameworks and risks management activities and skill in applying internal auditing principles and practices
·Demonstrable track record of developing successful, long lasting, relationships across the business including ability to engage, challenge and influence senior managers, deal effectively with resistance to proposals and secure their buy-in and support.
·Strong knowledge of and experience of project assurance, ideally within the utility sector.
·Experience of managing project teams, managing others and projects independently.
·Highly competent in Microsoft Office (e.g. Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)
·A focus on continued improvement and achieving high standards.
Qualifications Required:
·Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Sciences or related areas.
·MBA or CPA, ACCA, ACA, CMA, CISA or other appropriate professional qualification(s), preferred.
·PRINCE 2 or PMI certification.
·2+ years of relevant work experience, Big 4 experience preferable or industry experience.
