The Program Security Assistant will assist in providing general security support for a multi-disciplined and complex organization. Primary responsibilities include:
•Ensure compliance with DoD and DoN Security Requirements.
•Implement personnel security requirements under JAFAN 6/4 and prepare DD 254's as needed.
•Review and document comments and corrections to the PSO on a myriad of security documents, such as SOP’s, OPSEC plans, security test plans, Fixed Facility Checklist (FFC’s) and any other documentation.
•Conduct facility Site Assist Visits (SAVs) and compliance inspections.
•Develop and administer a Security Education, Training and awareness (SETA) program that includes, but not limited to, indoctrinations, briefings, foreign travel, couriers, event-driven briefings, and debriefings.
In absence of Government SAP Security Officer, and following the broad objectives and guidelines of the PSO, develop the facility SOP, OPSEC plan, treaty plans, media control plans and other documentation.
•Understand and comprehend JAFAN 6/4 personnel security requirements; process program access requests (PARs); execute program indoctrination agreements (PIAs); review of SF86s, JPAS, DCII and other customer vetting processes to ensure individuals meets program eligibility requirements.
•Provide assistance to defense contractors on personnel security related issues; perform debriefs, courier briefs; and review program related information for proper markings in accordance with Executive Order 13526.
•Other assigned duties as necessary to ensure excellent customer service and mission success

Requirements
•Minimum 4 years relevant experience with 2 years supporting a Special Access Program (SAP).
•Exposure reviewing and approving SSRDB, NAAP, badge requests.
• Familiarity with JAFAN directives.
•Familiarity with ICD 503 & 705 process.
•Knowledge of Risk Management implementation standards.
•Understand how to ensure that the SSP, POA&M and all other security documents are prepared.
•Experience performing Contractor Company PSO Oversight.
•Ability to implement Government security requirements for Government and Industry facilities accreditation and information systems certification and accreditation.
Public speaking and briefing experience.
•Ability to operate autonomously and within a team setting in a demanding and fast paced environment.
•Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Security Requirements: US citizenship and an active Top Secret clearance with SCI and SAP eligibility is required.
