IT Sr. Systems Engineer (Job Number:420381)


Seeking an experienced IT Systems Engineer to support an Intelligence Community (IC) customer in Chantilly, VA.


The successful applicant must provide technical expertise, continuity of effort and value-added judgment to advise senior customer leadership on activities impacting IT Infrastructure Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and the IT baseline.

- Requires sound understanding of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) ticketing and escalation procedures to facilitate the ability to research incidents & problems and supply metrics based on recurring tickets trends and customer surveys
- Analyze O&M trend data and advise leadership of potential concern areas
- Review and advise customer on IT O&M Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and division of Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) labor between multiple entities enabling the understanding of data and areas of responsibility
- Provide weekly Request for Change (RFC) review and information on baseline changes to customer leadership
- Support acquisition activities and organizational transition to a Managed Service Provider (MSP)
- Develop metrics to examine personnel resource usage as an MSP

- Associate’s degree with 11+ years of experience or Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of experience
- Relevant operational and systems engineering experience in accordance with the job description mentioned above
- Experience working with IT systems, processes, or requirements
- Information Assurance Level II (e.g. Security +)
- ITIL Certification
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deliverables simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Familiarity with the NRO missions and organizations
- Excellent writing, organization, verbal communication, and presentation skills
- Experience with acquisition support / contract transition
- Familiarity with Managed Service Provider and Infrastructure Service Provider concepts
- Experience working in the Intelligence Community
- Experienced user in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Commitment to recognize, understand, respect and operate effectively within various SETA, FFRDC, and Government lines of authority
