Space Management Specialist ($74K)

Position Description
CGI Federal is seeking a Space Management Specialist to support the Department of Justice.

The Space Management Specialist performs services relative to interior spaces, including programming, design analysis, space planning and aesthetics, using specialized knowledge of interior construction, building systems and components, building codes, equipment, materials, and furnishings. Planning and coordination of commercial vendors, serving as the liaison. This position routinely works with the highest level of management within DOJ, therefore the person should have experience dealing with high profile clients. Your future duties and responsibilities
DUTIES:
? Identifying, researching, and creatively solving problems pertaining to the function and quality of the interior space environment.
? Performing services relative to interior spaces, including programming, design analysis, space planning and aesthetics, using specialized knowledge of interior construction, building systems and components, building codes, equipment, materials, and furnishings.
? Preparing drawings and documents relative to the design of interior spaces in order to enhance and protect the health, safety, and welfare of the end users as well as the public.
? Coordinating and integrating the mechanical, electrical, and structural engineering disciplines within the interior context.
? Managing projects, developing cost estimates, evaluating bid proposals, reviewing construction documents, participating in on-site construction visits, conducting pre- and post-occupancy evaluations, developing standards for efficient space management, etc.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
SKILLS:
? Ability to draft drawings using AutoCAD version 2015
? Experience dealing with high profile clients

KNOWLEDGE:

? GSA Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
? Government regulations and procurement processes would be beneficial, but is not required.

? High school diploma or equivalent.
? Excellent written and interpersonal communications skills.
? Ability to successfully complete a CGI Background Investigation to include; 50 State
Criminal, Education, Employment, Credit and Driving Records Checks to start employment.
? Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance (Moderate Risk
Public Trust) to start employment.
? Due to the nature of this government contract, US Citizenship is required.
