LOGISTICS COORDINATOR - MCT AIR
Responsible for the development of logistical plans, policies, and procedures necessary to provide support in the logistics areas of supply, transportation, maintenance, and services. Recommends and coordinates the logistics support structure to perform the logistics functions of the project. Coordinates the interface between logistics functions such as transportation, maintenance and warehousing to ensure efficient, timely, and cost effective support to the customer. Troubleshoots problem areas in logistics and coordinates problem resolution or recommends solutions to management. Coordinates with customers to ensure desired logistics objectives, priorities, and schedules are met and communicated to management. Analyzes work processes and develops metrics for measurement of performance. Coordinates with Environmental, Safety, and other Shared Services functional areas as appropriate in regard to logistical functions performed under contract. Skills are typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree and 1-3 years of experience.
Provide movement control support for the surface & Air movement of cargo and personnel through the U.S. Military Transportation System. Responsible for receiving, validating, and processing, all Transportation Movement Requests (TMR), Joint Movement Requests (JMRs) & Air Movement Requests (AMRs) for the personnel and equipment transiting, originating, terminating, and assigned MCT Area of responsibility.
Candidate must possess working knowledge of Movement Automation Query Systems such as GTN, GDSS, GATES, ITV, etc. Able to communicate effectively with military personnel, understand military flight information and local policies. Must understand DOD movements terminology and be able to troubleshoot problems. Position responsibilities also encompass administrative duties in support of the entire Airfield Terminal Operations. Ability to read and understand Air Load Plans. Able to work in a high stress atmosphere and make passenger related decisions. Able to make decision on priority list based on outlined instructions. Must perform other job related tasks as duties and mission dictates.
Must hold Secret Clearance
Must be prior Air Force AFSC 2T2
Must be fluent in English
Must possess a US civilian passport book (not passport card) with at least 12 months of remaining validity AND with at least 6 blank front/back visa stamp pages remaining
Must possess driver’s license with at least 14 months of remaining validity
