Seeking experienced Armed Security Officer with recent military, law enforcement, or private security experience.

Job Description:
1. Provide ingress/egress control at the station of assignment and conduct personnel, package and/or vehicle inspections.
2. Preserves order and acts to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, equipment, materials, and premises.
3. Responds to unusual or emergency situations at client’s site using the appropriate escalation of force level up to and including armed response by following established protocol.
4. Maintains proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices and weapons.
5. Maintain radio contact with the installation at all times.
6. Maintain a log of all vehicles and personnel entering and leaving the guard station.
7. Immediately report illegal acts/incidents, any attempts of unauthorized entry and all suspicious or unusual activity.
8. Detect and temporarily detain, to the extent permitted by the contract, state and federal law, trespassers or unauthorized persons who gain or attempt to gain access to the installation or restricted areas by illegal or unauthorized means as necessary.
9. Notify the civilian police and/or fire department in the event of an emergency situation.
10. Be alert and ready to handle emergencies such as fires or accidents, or in the event of unusual occurrences adversely affecting client interest or public safety.
11. Prepare logs and reports as required.
12. Other duties as assigned.

Mandatory Qualification Requirements:
Note: Candidates who do not meet all of the mandatory qualifications should not apply and will be rejected
1. High School Diploma or G.E.D.
2. Min. 1 yr. experience in Military, Law Enforcement or Security arena desired
3. Must be at least 21 years of age or a military veteran
4. Must have prior firearms experience with applicable Texas DPS registration
5. Must be a U.S. Citizen
6. Must have a valid Texas state driver’s license
7. Must have a favorable National Agency Check and/or background check prior to employment
8. Must be willing to submit to and pass a drug screen
9. Must be neat, well-groomed and present a professional appearance
10. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in all training venues to include firearms and self defense

Additional Qualifications:
1. Capable of responding to situations with minimal supervision.
2. Ability to take initiative in improvement of project performance.
3. Must have the right leadership skills to set the right example of professionalism, conduct and work ethic.
