NCI: As a Systems Administrator – Senior ( Systems Administrator ), you will provide services for the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) and All Army networks, Non-classified Internet Protocol (IP) Router Network (NIPRNet) and Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet). You will provide operational and technical system administration services required to support the Army Enterprise and all Army Network capabilities. The Army Enterprise Management of Worldwide network capabilities allows information traversing Department of Defense (DoD) networks to be continuously monitored to ensure response time as well as throughput and performance standards. The Army Enterprise includes failover, diversity, and elimination of critical failure points as a means to assure timely delivery of critical information. The Army Enterprise Management of Worldwide network capabilities consists of a suite of equipment that performs firewall functions, intrusion detection and prevention, enterprise management, virtual routing and forwarding (VRF), and provides a host of network security capabilities. The Army’s goal is operationalize the Enterprise capabilities at CONUS and OCONUS locations over the next two years. The Army Enterprise continues to be configured in phases to minimize the stress on the current network infrastructure. In assuming this position, you will be a critical contributor to meeting NCI's mission: To deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments. This position is located in Fort Huachuca, Arizona; relocation assistance, while not guaranteed, may be available.



Highlights of Responsibilities:

Ensure NetOps is pervasive across all layers of the Net-Centric Operational Environment (NCOE)
Department of Defense (DoD) networks to be continuously monitored to ensure response time as well as throughput and performance standards
Monitor Army Enterprise which includes failover, diversity, and elimination of critical failure points as a means to assure timely delivery of critical information
Provides Enterprise NIPRNet and SIPRNet compliance research, provides compliance assessments of NetOps applications and systems, and works with ARCYBER and Networthiness to ensure IA compliance.
Performs analytical research on Army initiatives, provides NetOps capability management support, and supports DoD/Army NetOps concepts, doctrine, and architectures
Support multiple dispersed, independent or intra dependent systems elements performing a function (i.e. Operating System (OS), Hardware (HW), Data base, application) which are interoperable with other elements or systems to perform a function in context as part of a larger, more complex system.
Provide operational and technical systems of systems support to NETCOM for the Army Enterprise capabilities worldwide and the Global Enterprise Fabric (GEF)
Provide systems of systems administration with firewall functions, intrusion detection and prevention, enterprise management, remedy ITSM, virtual routing and forwarding (VRF), proxy servers, and provides a host of network security capabilities.
Address technical questions concerning enterprise solutions in tactical environments, virtual environments and closed networks
Provide 24 hours a day, seven (7) days a week systems of systems service and administration support


Requirements:

Current Active Top Secret/SCI (SSBI) Security Clearance and/or the ability to obtain one. (IAW AR 25-2, position is considered IT Level I; requires Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).)
BS degree in Information Technology or related IT degree.
Minimum ten (10) years experience.
IAW DoD 8570.01-M shall be IAT level III certified (CISA, GCIH, GCED, CISSP or CASP)
MCSE Computing Environment (CE) certification.


Preferred Education and Experience:

Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
VMWare VCP 5 or 6.
Experience working with Active Directory, DNS, Database Administration, Layer-2 and Layer-3 switching technologies, SNMP, CISCO routing, including TCP/IP topology, layer 3 routing, and VLAN’s, Storage Area Network (SAN), Fibre channel, iSCSI, NFS, Out of Band Management (OOBM), IdAM, IdSS/IdMI, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), and Oracle/SQL DB.
Experience with VMware vSphere ESXi 5.x - (Networking, virtual switches and virtual distributed switches); vCenter Server 5.x; and VMware vSphere Storage Appliance (VSA).
Experience configuring server hardware and OS software, as well as installing new software.
Working knowledge of Information Assurance, Cybersecurity and Risk Management Framework expertise and experience. Establish IA posture by applying STIGs and SRG’s mandated by DISA.
