SAIC is seeking an individual who will assist on the management of key client projects with the goal of delivering every project on time, within budget and within scope. This position directly supports Government Project Managers within the Program Execution Division of a joint Intelligence Community Acquisition System Program Office responsible for the design, procurement, and fielding of a satellite ground system processing capabilities.

Position responsibilities include:

Coordinating internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects; ensuring that project is delivered on-time, within scope and within budget; assisting in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility; ensuring resource availability and allocation; developing a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress; monitoring and managing changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques; measuring project performance using appropriate tools and techniques; performing risk management analysis to minimize/mitigate project risks; and create and maintain comprehensive project documentation. The project involves cloud computing and software application frameworks applying software agile methodologies.


Required Education & Experience:

- Bachelors of Science degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science, aeronautics, aerospace, or information systems
- 10 to 8+ years of direct work experience in a project management capacity, to include all phases of project development and execution
- Applied knowledge and experience in software development principles and iterative development techniques
- Experience with acquisition/procurement of government projects
- Must have a proven track record of excellence in the service provided to clients and customers
- Experience supporting government customers in secure environments
- Demonstrated ability to decompose complex problems into actionable elements
- Must currently hold and maintain an Intelligence Community TS/SCI Security Clearance

Desired Skills

- Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
- Possession of a current PMP or DAWIA Program Management Level 2 certification
- Background working ground processing systems
- Experience with developing service-oriented software and architectures
- Applied knowledge of cloud computing including hosting application services and cloud data storage solutions
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience in mission processing of data from national satellite systems
