Military Analyst (Modeling & Simulations)
CGI Federal is seeking an experienced Military Analyst (Modeling & Simulations) to support its TRADOC customer at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas. TRADOC G-27 Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Branch assesses, validates, and delivers the operational environment (OE) in models, simulations, and M&S tools across the six Army M&S-enabled communities (i.e., Acquisition, Analysis, Experimentation, Test and Evaluation, Training, and Intelligence) and the Joint M&S community to aid in the definition, development, and verification of OE-related M&S representations and behaviors within the Virtual, Constructive and Gaming environments.
TRADOC G-27, M&S Branch seeks a qualified M&S / Military Analyst with Army M&S and OE-related relevant experience, Joint level experience desired, but not critical. The candidate will be responsible for working directly with the government client as well as outside agencies to ensure OE-related requirements are represented in simulations and other methods, models, and tools (MMT). The candidate must have a thorough knowledge of military operations and associated OE considerations; have the ability to conceptualize associated TTP and behaviors, both BLUFOR and OPFOR, for integration to current and future M&S capabilities; and properly engage with Army, DoD and Joint agencies regarding capability analysis, requirements, and the M&S needs of those agencies. Candidate will be responsible for attending planning conferences, concept reviews, design sessions, and the like, as well as conduct capability briefings. Candidate must be able to effectively communicate OE requirements and an understanding of the PMESII-PT operational variables (i.e., political, military, economic, social, infrastructure, information, physical environment, and time as defined in ADP/ADRP 3.0) through conduct of working groups and other related meetings to government clients internal and external to the TRADOC G-27. This candidate will be working under the direction of a contract lead on defining requirements for OE and PMESII-PT operational variable representation regarding modeling, simulation, gaming, and visualization efforts. This position requires a collaboration across a team of military analysts and as well as outside agency (both military and civilian) capability development teams.
? Must be able to clearly articulate OE requirements for implementation in current (e.g., WARSIM, OneSAF, etc?) and future conceptual (e.g., Synthetic Training Environment) MMTs. Must be able to work with senior level military and civilian personnel in addressing shortfalls in OE representation.
? Experience with practical and hands-on knowledge of military operations, operational environment assessments, and requirements definition.
? Recommends solutions by analyzing advantages and disadvantages of different aspects of concept modeling and development, and recommends potential prototype development where capabilities are non-existent.
? Designs and develops the concepts for implementing new capabilities, behaviors and OE-related phenomenology to improve functionality within Army and Joint models, simulations, and gaming assets.
? Must be able to facilitate the development of implementation strategies across all six Army M&S-enabled communities and Army Centers of Excellence (CoE - primarily Mission Command, Intelligence, Maneuver and Aviation). Must be able to engage with senior level stakeholders to articulate OE requirements and their associated PMESII-PT operational variable representations.
? Attend, support and provide analysis and preparation of materials for scheduled Army / Joint forums such as portfolio reviews / updates, working groups, technical exchange meetings, and systems reviews along with other ad-hoc and senior leadership level conferences and meetings.
? Experience with conducting OE capability assessments and gap analysis.
? 8+ years of military experience with 4 years of operational experience; strong understanding of military tactics and doctrine; understanding of OPFOR TTP is desired. Recent real world operational participation is desired.
? Ability to work several projects concurrently. Must be flexible and adaptable to rapid change in position requirements and demanding time tables with a high attention to detail, with an ability to work independently.
? Candidate should be patient, persistent, attentive to details, and have a strong analytical ability; should have good communications skills and be able to work as a member of a multi-functional team.
? Excellent oral and written communication, organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.
? TS SCI level security clearance desired. If not, candidate must possess a Secret level clearance, on the date of hire, with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
? Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.
