About the Position:
Corporate Finance, Manager, BD / M&A manages the financial strategy for business development and mergers and acquisitions. Partners with the business to develop modelling and scenarios to support business development and M&A. Develops assumptions, timelines and expectations to meet business and performance objectives.
Reports to the Director, Long-term Planning and is responsible for supporting the growth and profitability of NGUSA.
Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Manages the financial strategy to support business development and M&A for the growth and profitability of the business.
Responsible for reviewing the strategic environment with the strategy team to identify industry changes and understands current Finance issues / risks.
Performs financial modelling and reviews and creates scenario and sensitivity analyses to support business development and M&A decisions.
Responsible for partnering with Business Development and Deal Teams to provide analysis on financial decisions.
Performs customer risk analysis to support business development decisions within finance.
Responsible for facilitating financial analysis of new project opportunities.
Ensures a budgeting and finance operation is involved in business development opportunities.
Maintains technical knowledge of internal and external global standards for business development opportunities.
Directs and counsels employees and manages third-party consultants and contractors.
Provides counsel to employees, manages third party consultants and contractors, and advises senior leaders as necessary.
Builds and manages results-driven teams by taking a strategic and technical view of performance management by involving employees in planning, relationship building, decision-making and analysis processes.
Ensures proper support to meet business requirements of financial and non-financial controls.
Supports the long term business planning process as needed
Knowledge & experience in the following areas is preferable:
Business and financial forecasting
Short and long-term forecasting
US GAAP, IFRS and SOX
Effective business partnerships
Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree preferred 7 years in Finance with business development and merger and acquisition responsibilities
Experience managing financial analysis and finance deals
Demonstrated ability to manage forecasting and budgeting
Strong Excel Skills
Experience working in a multi-national company
Background in utility service or similar industry accounting
Proven experience in business development requirements
Effective collaboration and partnership capabilities
Excellent written / oral communication skills and follow-up
