Job Description:

The Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) clerk will be responsible for the document control process (including editing, routing and tracking) of Safety, Health and Environmental documents and administer the various site computer database systems.

The SHE clerk will also design and maintain the SharePoint pages at the site, in addition to creating metrics and supporting the SHE team with various activities.


Document control and procedure editing for Process Safety Management (PSM), Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE), ISO14001 and SHE training records.

Ability to format and manipulate Word documents, layouts, numbering/bulleting sequences, tables, margins, lock documents, track changes with attention to detail.

Manage a document control log for currency and accuracy.

The Learning Manager (TLM) database Administrator – Ability to reconstruct, create, add and delete courses, assignment groupings and users.

Ability to import updated courses from corporate server and track employee training requirements and progress.

Manage-It-Central (MiTC) database administrator and routing specialist – Create SHE control plans, AMIs, CARs and route them through system.

EtQ Reliance database administrator and routing specialist – Create action items, CAPAs, procedure routing, etc.

Assist personnel with any EtQ Reliance issues (i.e, password reset, etc).

Report weekly SHE metrics by exporting data from databases.

Extensive MS Excel knowledge of formulas and pivot tables to create metrics.

Update multiple spreadsheets on a daily basis in order to maintain up to date information.

SharePoint Key User – Design SharePoint pages, upload procedures and transfer documents from one location to the designated SharePoint pages.

Route procedures through SharePoint (as needed).

Assist personnel with SharePoint issues. Build and/or maintain SharePoint pages.

Assist with relocation of documents from Lotus Notes to new databases/systems

Assist with activities led by the SHE team


Candidate for this position must be a United States Citizen or a United States permanent Resident

Exceptional knowledge of all Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint)

Advanced computer skills

Ability to multi-task

Close attention to detail

Preferred Attributes

Associates degree or equivalent experience

Experience working with databases

Knowledgeable of Safety, Health and Environmental requirements (including ISO14001)
