Command and Control Automated Systems Support (Job Number:421274)
The selected candidates’ mission is to provide expertise on constructive simulation systems used for training, experimentation, analyses, and demonstrations. Assists project and study leads in maximizing training or study value through optimization of simulation assets. Architect then implement distributed simulation federations in support of AJST training and analytical work. System administrator level of expertise for the configuration of the Theater Battle Management Core System, including the associated IRIS message handling system. Experience as a Client Support Technician (CST) for routine NIPRNet and SIPRNet workstation operations, trouble shooting, and configuration. Prepares plans and related documentation such as the simulation architecture, and operations and systems views for the exercises and events.
Works with Army and Air Force personnel to manage the databases of the various simulation systems to ensure a relevant and realistic education, training, and exercise environment. Works closely with outside agencies and other simulation centers to provide an up to date, relevant database and simulation model. Translates the tactical orders and operational scenarios written for an exercise or study into the synthetic environment. During exercises and study production runs, responsible for maintaining the health and stability of the simulation federation to optimize resource availability. Candidates selected for this position may be required to travel OCONUS during the performance of this task order to attend meetings, conferences, and exercise events. All personnel performing on this task order may be required to travel to off-site locations to assist in education, training, and exercises in support of this PWS.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree or years experience in lieu of a degree and 1 years of military experience,
All personnel performing services under this PWS will have a minimum IAT Level I qualification IAW DoD 8570.01-M and practical experience in the set-up, configuration, trouble shooting, performing fault isolation, operating, and providing instruction for the following elements of Army Mission Command systems in a Joint Command and Control (C2) environment characterized by Theater Battle Management Core System (TBMCS), Air Defense System Integrator (ADSI), and the Global Command and Control System–Joint (GCCS-J); Global Command and Control System–Army (GCCS-A), Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS), Air and Missile Defense Workstation (AMDWS), Tactical Airspace Integration System (TAIS), Distributed Common Ground System – Army (DCGS-A), Command & Control Personal Computer (C2PC), Command Post of the Future (CPOF), Joint Automated Deep Operations Coordination System (JADOCS).
Experience on the following: MCTP exercise lifecycle and detailed insights into the C2 processes, products, and systems involved in replicating the relationships, information exchanges, and coordination typical between Army corps/division headquarters and a joint force air component headquarters (as expressed in Joint doctrine; service doctrine; multiservice tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP); and theater-specific TTP).
Former military experience, IAT Level II qualification IAW DoD 8570.01-M
