After providing project management services for 5 years, the PMP has recently been extended and KBR are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager, to assist the Program Managers This role is specifically for the delivery of a portion of SA Water’s Capital program over a 4 year period working within an integrated delivery team.

It is expected that this delivery team will manage between $250-$350M of investment executed principally under the established frameworks.


Preparation of tender documentation for issue to the framework contractor for pricing.

Evaluation of tender responses and assessment with project controls to ensure submitted proposals present value for money and agreement is reached on the Target Outurn Cost (TOC).

Assist in the correct allocation of risk elements under the work packages. Preparation of recommendation to award documentation

Ensure conforming contract documents

Advising on interpretation of terms and conditions of contracts

Processing and checking of contract deliverables such as bond, guarantees and project plans

Processing variations, progress claims, completion certificates in conjunction with project controls group

Processing of all extensions of time in conjunction with the project controls group

Ensuring contractor conformance to requirements of the contract

Monthly reporting on the status of all engagements

Coordination of contractor audits

Attendance at regular contractor meetings


Relevant tertiary qualification in either Quantity Surveying, Construction, Engineering or project management discipline

Experience with AS4300 and AS2124 Commercial Models

A solid understanding of Target Cost Model

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to manage several projects simultaneously

Demonstrated capability in contract management within the construction sector

Knowledge of SA Water contract requirements would be highly regarded.
