Adventus has an IT staffing contract with the State of Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) and is seeking to hire an experienced sales and marketing coordinator. The Sales and Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for establishing and maintaining marketing strategies for marketing; building relationships with purchasing agents in each of the Texas States market segments; State Agencies, Local Governments, Higher Education, K-12 and Assistance Organization. In this position, the sales and marketing coordinator will work with Director of Business Development to formulate the DIR marketing and sales policies to promote successful business capture. The position will pay competitive salary, benefits and performance incentives.

Essential Functions:
• Implement a robust and aggressive marketing strategy to capture a major percentage of work in each of the DIR market segments.
• Develop effective DIR marketing, advertising and promotional activities for Adventus.
• Supervise the DIR marketing team, and execute new concepts and business models to capture DIR business.
• Create and maintain a strategic DIR marketing plan that actively and effectively supports the company’s sales and marketing growth and revenue capture strategy.
• Coordinate DIR marketing visits, campaign and promotional activities with supervisor.
• Ensure the company’s DIR marketing and sales plans are reviewed and updated as necessary.
• Create and publicize all marketing materials that have the appeal to generate new DIR business.
• Develop DIR marketing collateral including product features, news pitches, and social media posts.
• Develop, implement and review company DIR marketing plan within targeted industries.
• Initiate and develop relationships with potential customers; assist with setting up visits.
• Ensure contents on company DIR webpage are updated on a regular basis.
• Participate in trade shows, selected conferences, and set-up and manage booths.
• Conduct DIR market research to determine market requirements for existing and future products.
• Analyze each DIR customer profile, current and expiring contracts and perform competitive analysis.
• Analyze DIR market trends and recommend necessary changes to marketing and business development strategies based on analysis and feedback.
• Gather and analyze DIR customer insight and prepare win strategy metrics.
• Become the subject-matter expert of the DIR product and services we provide and promote our products and services through phone, email, and social media platforms such as Facebook, and Twitter etc.
• Keep management informed of DIR activities by submitting results, reports, weekly updates and monthly and quarterly analysis.

Marginal Functions:
• Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all company management are kept informed.
• Monitor industry best practices for marketing and selling to DIR customers.
• Be the first line customer relationship manager(CRM), communicate, handle, and resolve DIR customer service issues
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:
• Ability to think strategically, organizes, and creatively plan marketing visits to DIR customers.
• Strong computer skills, including: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
• Confident and dynamic personality with strong analytical skills
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience

Education: Requires Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing
(An additional 3 years of relevant experience acceptable in lieu of degree)

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is in an office setting that is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.

Physical Demands:
Specific abilities required for this job include: the ability to speak clearly, the ability to hear in person and via telephone, the ability to sit for extended periods, periodic lifting and moving of items of 10 pounds, standing, walking, and close vision.
