Required Skills:

  • ? Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with a minimum of 9 years of related experience; Masters degree in similar disciplines with a minimum of 7 years of related experience; or PhD in similar disciplines with a minimum of 5 years related experience.
  • ? Wide-ranging experience and advanced knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Product Data Management (PDM), Computer Aided Design (CAD), Bill of Material (BOM) Management, Mechanical/Electrical CAD, Model-based Engineering

  • ? Experience in Siemens NX v10.x encompassing Bill of Materials, Assembly Management, Library Development, Visualization, Data translation, CheckMate.
  • ? Significant experience in mechanical design with proven ability to design highly complex and unique 3D models
  • ? Experience with Data Migration from Teamcenter Enterprise
  • ? Experience with Teamcenter CAD Connector integration with SolidWorks, Altium, etc.
  • ? Experience with ITK Development, C++, Java

Will be a PLM/CAE Solution Architect for the Product Lifecycle Management Systems and Data Engineering Section 1723 as a member of Special Programs, Engineering Systems and Services Office (172H) and will report to the 172H Office Manager. Will provide both technical and functional leadership and be responsible for the planning, architecture, and implementation for PLM/CAE applications specifically Siemens Teamcenter and NX along with various other CAE applications. Will collaborate with technical team members and external customers to define and implement solutions for PLM/CAE applications including streamlining processes, impact evaluation, updating or replacing existing solutions, determining deliverables, and communication plans. Will establish close partnership with stakeholder and governance body to help drive product roadmap and establish standards and policies. Will be responsible for Teamcenter and NX deployments including application configurations, testing, user acceptance testing, application delivery, mechanical library management, issue tracking and resolutions. Will interface with engineering staff of all levels and work with PLM vendors for resolutions to highly complex and unique design issues. Will recommend specific modeling techniques as related to part/assembly design. Will assist MCAE Staff in the documentation of best practices for NX and Teamcenter Engineering. Will work closely with other senior team members in the customization and integration of recommended CAE design tools for the Mechanical Sub-process of DBAT (Design, Build, Assemble and Test).
