Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
RHEL5/6/7, LINUX Variants UNIX, syslog products, virtualization software, DISA STIGS, Shavlik, Puppet Server, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)/Nessus, PKI, Storage Area Networks, backup/restore solutions, and DNS.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications - Experience, Education and Licensure:
Education: The Linux Engineer shall have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent technical degree from an accredited college / university.
The Linux Engineer shall have a Linux + or RHCE CE/OS certification.
The Linux Engineer shall have at least five (5) years of Linux system administration experience. Work experience shall also include/demonstrate the following:
- Expertise in LDAP, NSF, DNS, and SSH.
- Ability to write and maintain Linux and Perl shell scripts.
- Understanding of security and network/distributed computing concepts.
- Strong technical problem solving skills, communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
- Top Secret Clearance preferred
This position is an IAT Level II.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must be detail oriented, adaptable and flexible regarding work requirements
- Excellent communication skills, strong presentation, organizational and interpersonal skills required
- Team Player with ability to function efficiently in a multi-tasking environment
- Strong PC skills with experience of Windows, Excel, PowerPoint

National wide travel is required.

This position works indoors and outdoors. Temperature ranges from moderate to extreme cold and heat with temperatures ranging from 10 (-) degrees F in the winter to 125 (+) degrees F in the summer. This position requires travel via various methods of transportation.
