Counter Intelligence Analyst (Job Number:421492)



Provides intelligence support for contingency operations, battle staff and operational-level planning, joint and multi-lateral training exercises, and strategic engagement policy throughout the Areas of Operational Responsibility (AOR) and Areas of Interest (AOI) to include analysis and research for industry, infrastructure, technology, country, geographic area, biographic and targeted vulnerability. Monitors and analyzes all strategic and operational aspects of political, military, and economic developments for the countries in the AORs and AOIs. Assesses future and on-going political-military developments, military capabilities and doctrine, weapons acquisitions, and employment of military forces within each country (including the U.S.). Researches, authors, and coordinates threat assessments to support the Commander and the senior leadership as well. May focus on domestic as well as international threats. Considered to be a recognized authority in this area of expertise. Intelligence analysis may include; IMINT, SIGINT, ELINT, HUMINT, or MASINT. Develops and maintains analytical procedures to meet changing requirements and ensure maximum operations. May support development and analysis of intelligence products. Presents analysis or products to customers. May support policy and procedures development for agency, interagency, or community wide support. Frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques. Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet outlined objectives. Work is reviewed by supervisor/lead to measure meeting objectives. Directs established guidelines, procedures and policies.


Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity where analysis of situations or data requires a review of the variety of factors.


Works under general direction on routine work. May receive detailed instructions on new projects or assignments. Follows established procedures. Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment, overall adequacy and accuracy. Exercises judgement within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.


Contributes to completion of milestones associated with specific projects. Failure to achieve results or erroneous decisions or recommendations may cause delays in program schedules and may result in allocation of additional resources.


Primarily internal company contacts. Infrequent inter-organizational andoutside customer contacts on routine matters.


Bachelor’s Degree.


Education can be substituted for an equivalent intelligence/ academic experience as a credential FBI Agent, FBI CI/ IT intelligence analyst, DoD Special Agent, or Army CI Agent, or demonstrated subject matter expertise in a relevant field or, -General knowledge of frequently used IC/ Government databases in accordance to SOPs for FTTTF.


Master’s Degree.


A combination of tactical and operational experience.

Four years of Counter Intelligence experience, or one year CI/ terrorism analyst with the FBI FTTTF or, - Eight years Counter Intelligence collection, investigation, or analyst experience.

Knowledge and experience with counter intelligence operations and activities.

Experience drafting special assessments, intelligence reports, bulletins, alerts, threat assessment, or other intel products.

Familiar with operations of the Biometric Automated Toolset (BAT).

Proficient knowledge of frequently used IC/ Government databases in accordance to SOPs for FTTTF.
