Administrative/Legal Project Analyst (Job Number:421951)

Description:



The SAIC Administrative/Legal Project Analyst shall be responsible to the Program Manager for providing administrative and procedural management support in executing operational requirements for the Marine Corps Intelligence Schools (MCIS) command.

Duties and Responsibilities:

-
Provide ongoing organizational analysis and technical support of Marine Corps, Department of the Navy, and Department of Defense (DoD) policies, procedures, and orders it include organizational correspondence analysis, and Training and Education Command (TECOM) and Training Command (TCOM) policies and procedures

-
Provide advice on the full range of administrative support services including interpretation and application of administrative project requirements based on policies and procedures from higher headquarters

-
Develop administrative reports and documents

-
Reconcile and manage military records

-
Analyze and develop command inquiries relating to administrative responsibilities

-
Extensive correspondence development based on command philosophy and objectives

-
Analyze and develop command reports relating to administrative responsibilities within specified timelines

-
Direct engagement with support MCIS staff and supported personnel

-
Provide executive administrative support for MCIS Commanding Officer (CO) and Deputy Commander by providing a variety of duties related to the management of administrative programs to include:

Defense Travel System

-
Improved Awards System

-
Government Travel Charge Card Program

-
Marine Online

-
Provide support on the full range of administrative services

-
Address inquiries, correspondence, and actions for the areas of various administrative responsibilities

-
Ensure all manner of correspondence and documentation be 100% accurate with no errors, using tact, sensitivity, professionalism, and a thorough understanding of the command’s philosophy and objectives

-
Assist the MCIS S-1 officer and Paralegal Specialist with developing weekly and ad-hoc briefings on the status of legal issues

-
Assist in the review of all correspondence, to include legal correspondence for format and grammar and provide feedback on required and/or suggested corrections

-
Attend MCIS Administrative Officer recommended external training directly relating to the completion task related, in order to ensure accordance with the Marine Corps guidance/regulations

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:

-
Associate’s Degree in related field and 3 years’ experience in project management/administrative support or direct experience working within military administrative and or legal sections

Required Skills:

-
High degree of organizational skills, detail oriented, and capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously

-
Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate concepts to various audiences

-
Work independently and/or as part of a team to accomplish tasks under limited supervision in a timely manner

-
Proficiency in all standard Microsoft Office applications

-
Expert knowledge of Marine Corps, Department of the Navy and DoD policies, procedures, orders to include:

-
Navy Correspondence Manual

-
Applicable TECOM and TC policies and procedures

-
Knowledge and experience with Marine Corps legal administration and processes

-
Working knowledge of MCTFS, DODFMS, PLMS, MEDBOLTS, DTS

Desired Skills:

-
Improved Award Processing System (iAPS), SharePoint, and Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC)

-
Operational experience serving in a Marine Corps headquarters environment in support of Marine Corps training and education

-
Working knowledge of the national, operational, and tactical intelligence infrastructure available to the DoD Intelligence Community (IC)

-
Attendance of an approved DOD legal clerk course is not required but will enhance consideration for this position.

Location and Travel:

This position serves as the administrative project analyst for the MCIS HQ in Virginia Beach, VA. MCIS will provide workspace and computer resources. Support will primarily reside locally. Limited travel within CONUS will be required. Employee can expect to travel for customer support and various meetings. Travel is not expected to exceed 10%.
