SharePoint Developer

Position Description
Primary responsibilities include the implementation and customization of SharePoint solutions, the implementation of SharePoint workflows, the development of custom web parts and the design and development of reporting and business solutions. Responsibilities also include SharePoint support, functional and non-functional requirement analysis, estimating project timelines, unit testing, quality assurance, design and development of technical documentation. SharePoint Developer will develop custom SharePoint Solutions using SharePoint designer, Javascript, CSS, HTML, XML, JQuery or ASP.NET when the requirements merit compiled code. The developer must be able to work alongside the SharePoint Administrator in addition to working with the client on a regular basis to gather requirements for new requests and changes to existing functionality for five site collections to support the Department of State, Passport Offices. The contractor will have excellent organization and communication skills, be a self-starter, and a team player. Your future duties and responsibilities
? Develop browser-based InfoPath forms and automate processes around forms using workflows
? Provide front-end enhancements and customization to existing portal as needed
? Develop, customize/enhance SharePoint applications utilizing webparts, workflows, alerts, etc.
? Assist in the clean-up and migration of custom code related to SharePoint 2010 Site Collections to SharePoint 2013.
? Experience with integrating Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, InfoPath, InfoPath Designer, Project, Visio, OneNote, and Outlook) with SharePoint 2010/2013 features.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
? Bachelors Degree with 3+ years experience in SharePoint Development; or the equivalent training and P5+ years experience.
? Proven analytical thinking, problem solving and strong written, verbal, and client-facing communication skills are required.
? An ability to work independently as well as part of a team
? Ability to effectively use MS-Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and other MS-Office products.
? Administer and maintain Intranet SharePoint sites in support of the CA/PPT Offices and Agencies.
? Provide product support to users and stakeholders including content managers, portal owners, software quality assurance, applications development, and applications support teams.
? Serve as the primary technical authority for deployed SharePoint Content Applications.
? Ability to effectively use MS-Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and other MS-Office products.
? Ability to work with digital video/audio training media.
? Administer and maintain Intranet SharePoint sites in support of the CA/PPT Offices and Agencies.
? Experience in working in a Government contract environment.
? Experience with Consular Affairs/Passport Services.
? Experience with SharePoint Designer 2010/2013.
