This position is located in Cedar Rapids, IA. A comprehensive relocation package is available for qualified candidates.

Do you want to be a part of a fast-moving team with great long term growth potential? The Government Systems’ Tactical Applications and Civil Communication team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support development for Fusion Avionics as well as Airborne Solution software projects. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be involved in the design and development of Radio Tuning Subsystem Domain, as well as Mission Sensor software.

This position is for a Senior Software Engineer to fill a full lifecycle Software Engineering role for the Tactical Applications team within the Tactical, Communications and Maintenance Applications department. You will be working in a collaborative environment with modern tools and seize the opportunity to develop both cutting-edge features as well as upgraded pilot interfaces.

Responsibilities:
Contribute to each phase of a full lifecycle embedded software development project. System and subsystem requirements analysis, definition, and validation; systems and subsystems design architecture, integration and support, leading or supporting technical collaboration among systems, hardware and software design functions. Accomplish resolution of technical problems for impacted cross functional domain areas of hardware/software. Development of software/systems related documentation.


Candidate must have the following skills or qualifications:
• U.S. citizen or permanent resident (green card holder)
• A Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM program
• 2 years working experience with C programming language.
• Understanding of full software lifecycle development as well as system validation and verification processes per Rockwell Collins Technical Consistent Process (TCP).

Preferred experience/skills in any of the following:
• Ada programming language
• Python programming language
• VAPS graphics development
• Simulink - Model Based Development
• Experience with RTCA DO-178B or other formal development standards.
• Knowledge of ARINC-661, ARINC-429, ARINC-653/ASL/AFDX/Ethernet protocols
