Responsible for learning specific patient care activities to include basic hygiene care, non-sterile treatments, taking vital signs, assisting with range of motion exercises, lifting, ambulating and feeding patients. Learns about sanitation, infection control, safety, supplies and equipment usage. Learns to monitor condition of patient environment and equipment as well as correcting problems with same. Education/Experience: - None Certification/Registration/Licensure: -- fMust have a current Heartsaver CPR course completion card within 90 days of hire and/or placement in job from one of the following: o American Heart Association o American Red Cross Rescuer o Military Training Network. Skills or Special Abilities: - Must be able to learn and effectively perform specific patient care techniques and requirements. - Must be able to demonstrate patient centered/patient valued behaviors.
