Portfolio: Frozen Portfolio
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for full cycle portfolio management experience on some well recognized brands in the Canadian marketplace including Healthy Choice, VH Steamers, Marie Callender'sand more.
Lead the development and implementation of the annual operating plan and assist in the creation of three-year strategic plans to drive margin expansion, reduce complexity while continuing to deliver topline. Develop and deliver brand share targets and brand health metrics. Lead development of consumer programs and initiatives by leveraging consumer insights. Analyzes brand performance, consumption data, innovation or renovation result tracking and forecasting to action upon and make recommendations for future steps/course correction. Works collaboratively with cross functional teams and agency partners to commercialize and activate consumer programs. Manage and deliver upon all elements of the P&L (including volume, trade, COGS, A&P) and work to strengthen or improve results over time.
Leadership & Management
Leads and Manages the total Business multi-functional team (market development, pricing, product development, regulatory, finance, supply chain, external agencies etc.)
Manage a portfolio of brands that fall within different strategic priority quadrants (i.e. accelerate, revitalize, extend, manage)
Develop, lead, present and track to the annual operating plan (AOP)
Manages complex projects including assortment, cost-savings/re-formulations, innovation, line-extensions, supply planning, etc.
Prioritize, influence, and flow resources at the portfolio, brand, and project level
Ability to Influence across all levels and all functions of the organization
Development & Culture
Serves as a mentor/coach and/or Manages and develops ABM’s
Build functional capability and culture
Builds team capability and culture
Leads and manages agency relationships on specific marketing initiatives: Media, Creative (Above and below the line), Content, Merchandising & in-store.
Brand Management & Fundamentals
Lead consumer program development
Assist senior brand manager in total communication/advertising mix
Translate consumer insight into action
Analyzes business, brand, customer data and Builds business cases with strong rationale
Manage and lead customer development including growth initiatives across 4 P’s
Identify customer & channel opportunities with recommendations on actions
Own moderately complex cost savings projects and/or key influencer and overseer of multi-functional lead on cost reduction projects

Qualifications, Education & Experience:
University Degree, major in marketing preferred. MBA a strong plus
Minimum 5 years’ experience in brand marketing. CPG experience required, ideally in Tier1 and/or Food
Experience managing and leading within a matrix organization within a CPG Company
Sales experience preferred or Strong understanding of the CPG retail environment including channel dynamics
Proven track record of developing and leading strong annual brand plans.
Successful management of multiple projects & initiatives of varying complexity
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to function effectively as a leader and in a team environment.
Ability to communicate and influence at various levels of organization
People management experience
Strong financial competency & in depth understanding of the P&L
Strong strategic and analytic capabilities with the ability to easily utilize data to support business strategy and decisions.
Strong knowledge and understanding of consumer data, research & brand tracking (i.e. U&A, PMB, ASI, brand health, etc.).
Successful prior experience in developing and executing marketing strategies and programs, and managing agencies.
Demonstrated success in leading and developing holistic brand programs/initiatives including TV development media planning
Strong understanding of brand equity and architecture
