LabVIEW Programmer/Test Engineer (Job Number:422266)


Job Description:

The LabVIEW Programmer/Test Engineer will be a contributing member of a System Test Engineering team responsible for LabVIEW development to include PXI, LXI & GPIB Instrumentation control, TCP & UDP control, Windows & Real-Time Instrumentation control, custom signal conditioning design, relay control and Real-time hardware in the loop simulation. The candidate must have a software engineering background and the capability to perform software design, development, verification and test of control applications.

Education Requirement:

Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related field with 5+ years of related experience. Experience may be used in lieu of degree.

Required Skills:

Test engineering and testing to specification experience

Experience includes writing test procedures & test reports

Hardware in the loop (HWIL/HIL) test experience

ISO and/or Agile experience a plus

Fire Control System Test Design to meet DOD Weapon System Standards

TCP, UDP and LXI Communications & Control

PXI & GPIB Instrumentation Control

MS Windows & Real-Time based instrumentation control systems

LabVIEW Development Experience

Possess LabVIEW Developer Certification (Architect preferred)

Test Station Design and Manufacturing Capability to include:

Cable and Interconnect Design, including electrical noise abatement, shielding, etc.

Rack Design & Drawings (e.g., sizing, cooling, etc.)

Electrical & Electronic Schematics Layout and Design

Power Distribution & Electrical Safety (i.e., Emergency Shutdown)

Network Distribution/Control (i.e., Managed Switches)

cRIO Real-Time & FPGA Instrumentation Control

Design and manufacture of Custom Signal Conditioning and Relay Control

Industrial/DOD Electric Motor, Servo-Motor and Stepper Motor Control

Real-Time HWIL Simulation using the above tools and capabilities

Clearance Requirement:

Must currently possess a Secret security clearance
