Job Summary

Directs employee relations and human resource development programs for Finance, Legal & Communications & External Relations, including the implementation of human resource policies and practices. Partners with assigned business areas to ensure all human resources needs are met.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: staffing and orientation, compensation planning, training and development, talent management, performance management, EEO, unemployment, AAP, litigation, termination and severance.


A successful candidate will have experience coordinating human resources support in a highly “matrixed” organization across multiple locations. This role requires the formation of strong partnership relationships with the leadership teams and enterprise HR organization to best support the business’ key strategic people initiatives.


Position Responsibilities

  • Provides day to day business support for assigned functional teams.
  • Designs and executes ad hoc reporting, conducts analysis and draws conclusions that aide in making sound business decisions.
  • Consults/coaches/advises management on effective ways to administer HR programs and manage employee issues.
  • Partners with cross-functional HR peers, HR centers of excellence and other business support functions including but not limited to, Staffing, Compensation, Payroll, Benefits, Finance and Legal on various business needs.
  • Ensures broad Human Resources support in achieving department goals and objectives and administering HR policies and programs.
  • Leads HR programs within assigned business areas, including but not limited to, EEO, unemployment, AAP, litigation, retention, termination, turnover, and severance issues.
  • Counsels/coaches employees regarding various employee relations issues.
  • Manages various projects to support Finance, Legal and Communication & External Relations and the broader HR team.
  • Protecting ConAgra Food's interest while complying with government regulations, communicating awareness of the legal implications of all personnel actions.
  • Researches and recommends continual improvement to current processes, policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.


Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, SPHR/PHR preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of solid Human Resource generalist experience
  • Excellent knowledge of ERISA, EEOC and DOL regulations, employment sourcing, communications, human relations, and management skills.
  • Solid understanding of benefits and compensation administration, market pricing, labor law, and organizational development.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to effectively resolve issues in a timely manner using sound judgment and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal customers.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in project management.
  • Strong business partnership experience is essential to the success of this role.
  • Successful influencing abilities.
