The Action Officer directs and oversees the receipt, tasking, tracking and closure of all internal and external tasks as well as manages the action tracking system. The Action Officer establishes and maintains effective working relationships with customers and other stakeholders of the offices both internally and externally. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•Lead, develop and streamline DAG support functions
•Identify internal and external issues and take appropriate action as approved by the US Government
•Author, consolidate, coordinate and edit executive-level documentation to ensure consistency with organizational strategic objectives; apply an in-depth knowledge and understanding of DoD/IC issues, policies, programs and procedures.
•Make recommendations and prepare briefings, point papers and other materials based on analysis of complex policy issues and documents
•Participate in external committees, IPT, working groups and task forces
•Ensure critical information is disseminated to internal and external agencies including the Office of Secretary of Defense, Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) and mission partner equivalent offices
•Bachelors Degree in Technical or Business discipline and 10 years supporting a DoD or IC environment OR 5 years supporting the DoD OR Bachelors Degree in any discipline and 10 years related experience w/at least 5 years supporting the DoD.
•Knowledge of federal acquisition requirements, Department of Defense (DoD)/Intelligence Community (IC) budget & finance, and National Security policy
•Knowledge of systems engineering, project or program management
•Ability to understand and write in systems engineering technical language
•Experience working with senior executives at multiple organizational levels
•In-depth knowledge and understanding of DoD/IC issues, policies, programs and procedures affecting the DOD customer and its mission
•Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and standard computer applications
•Skill to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment while maintaining flexibility and versatility
•Ability to foster solid relationships that promote cooperation and communicate expectations
•Ability to analyze situations and make well informed decision
•Detail-orientated and ability to communicate effectively and concisely using a variety of styles and techniques appropriate to the audience
Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI based upon a SSBI within the last 5 years required to be considered for this opportunity. Must be willing to obtain CI Poly.
