The Senior Portfolio Strategist partners with Wealth associates on the development and retention of investment clients. The Portfolio Strategist is responsible for serving as the investment relationship manager for high net worth and institutional investment management clients. The Strategist will function as the liaison between the Capital Management Group (CMG) and clients. The Strategist will work with clients on investment policy development, asset allocation, manager structure, and performance analysis and reporting. The Strategist will serve as primary contact for client inquiries, review meetings, proactive and preemptive initiatives, and will have knowledge of decision makers and other key members of the client relationship. The Strategist will also partner with Client Advisors and other First Citizens Wealth associates on new business opportunities with existing clients and prospects.
Serve as the investment relationship manager, with an emphasis on selected high net worth clients. The Strategist will also partner with Wealth associates on the development of new business opportunities. The Strategist will function as the liaison between the CMG and clients and will work with clients on investment policy development, asset allocation, manager structure, and performance analysis and reporting. They will continuously analyze client portfolios, proposes changes when necessary and insure that changes are implemented.
The Strategist will team with Wealth associates to qualify prospects for investment opportunities and participate in joint calls on new business presentations. These presentations will explain our investment capabilities, how they can fit the needs of the client, and suggest portfolios appropriate for the prospect’s objectives. Analysis of the prospect’s current investments may be necessary. The goal is to consummate the investment sale.
Presentations will be made on an as needed basis to groups of prospects in a public speaking format. The Strategist will speak on topics such as the economy, capital markets and investing.
For existing clients, the Strategist will partner with Wealth associates to work with clients on their investments. The Strategists responsibilities include overseeing client portfolios, making appropriate changes when necessary, and attending meeting with clients to review their portfolios.
Strategists will make presentations from time to time to Wealth associates and bankers to expand their knowledge of the Capital Management Group and its capabilities. These presentations can include training sessions on various CMG initiatives as well as presentations on CMG capabilities.
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience selling investment services and relationship management.
Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and investment applications like Bloomberg, Barra and Advent.
CFP, CIMA, or CFA designation.
Consultative selling skills.
