This position involves software development and integration of Government System’s Flight Management System (FMS). Ideally, applicant will also be able to lead software development activities for smaller FMS programs that typically have 1 to 4 software FTEs. FMS software encompasses a large variety of functional areas that include such areas as Navigation Sensor Control, Flight Planning, Navigation, Guidance, User Interface (typically with Control Display Units (CDUs) and displays) and Mission Planning functions. Selected candidate will perform software engineering and project engineering tasks, including planning, execution management, requirements analysis, design, code, test and software integration in accordance with the Collins’ Technical Consistent Process. Candidate will perform assignments under limited supervision as part of a software development team and must show the ability/desire to provide guidance to other team members once established in the FMS software group. Experience with the Ada language is highly desirable, but not required. Candidate must enjoy working in a dynamic team environment, have effective oral and written communication skills, and possess good interpersonal and team skills.

Must Have Requirements:
• A Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM program
• US Citizenship or Permanent Residence
• Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance
• Ada experience highly desirable
• Experience leading small teams in software development efforts
