Responsibilities
The Alion Science and Technology team in Fairborn, Ohio is seeking an experienced system engineer to provide technical engineering and integration support to multiple classified programs in the Air Force Battlefield Airmen Program Management Office. Applicant will have the responsibility to analyze user requirements, system specifications, as well as functional requirements at the subsystem and product level. Candidate must have a good understanding of systems cybersecurity certification and accreditation processes, risk management, and technical performance measures. Position requires the ability to execute requirements definition planning along with making executive presentations to management and customer.

Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required, a Master's degree is highly desired, 5 years of DOD work experience with at least 8 in a technical or management field is highly desired. Position requires in-dept h knowledge of USAF acquisition; aircraft weapon systems, DOD 5000 series, AFI 63 series, and Joint Capability Integration and Development System (JCIDS) requirements process.

Applicant must have first-hand experience in the preparation of acquisition documentation: i.e. Acquisition Strategy, Life Cycle Management Plan, Integrated Management Plan, and Courses of Action, required. Position requires the ability to execute requirements definition planning along with making executive presentations to management and customer.

Applicant must have experience in requirements analysis, and integration of various communications system components. Experience in cybersecurity is highly desirable. Candidate must be able to prepare USAF acquisition products with a focus on the development and implementation of various program plans (e.g. program protection, program management, systems engineering, and operational requirements) in preparation for pre-Milestone A, Milestone A and pre-Milestone B decisions. First-hand experience in the preparation of Critical Program Information (CPI), Program Protection Plans (PPP), Anti-Tamper (AT) documents and other acquisition documentation: i.e. Acquisition Strategy, Life Cycle Management Plan, Integrated Management Plan, System Engineering Plan, and Information Support Plan are required.

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written and be proficient in MSWord, PowerPoint, and Excel required. Applicant must have sufficient motivation and experience to perform this role with little to no supervision. Knowledge of AF SOF and ISR missions is a plus. Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen and possess at least a SECRET Clearance, TOP SECRET Clearance preferred. Clearance must be active at time of hire.
