The role of the Regional Maintenance Manager is to provide oversight and managerial support for maintenance for the geographic area assigned. This will include existing hotels, renovations and new builds. The Regional Maintenance Manager will be chiefly responsible for overseeing the maintenance activities and serve as back-up support to the Chief Engineer. The Regional Maintenance Manager in concert with the Chief Engineer is responsible for overseeing high quality condition of building and equipment. Ensure preventative and routine maintenance procedures are performed as specified by Park Place Hospitality Group. Assist in preparation of annual budget and work within approved budget perimeters.

Will Require Some Overnight Travel

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides leadership that mirrors the mission, values and strategies of the company.
• Ensures overall profitability by achievement of maintenance business goals.
• Ensures compliance with PPHG and brand standards.
• Travel required (daily and overnight) within assigned geographic region.
• Responsible for overseeing maintenance of the physical property within the scope and parameters of Park Place Hospitality Group.
• Responsible for maintenance as well as renovations and various aspects of new construction.
• Establish, implement, train, and monitor maintenance guidelines for the maintenance teams, including, but not limited to, safety on the job, preventative maintenance, make ready, scheduling techniques, and HVAC.
• Ensures prompt and efficient service by the maintenance teams to support a positive guest experience.
• Oversees capital projects to ensure on-time and within budget performance.
• Participates in scheduling and preventative maintenance planning
• Participates in annual budget planning and provides input to vendor selection.
• Participates in due diligence efforts as assigned
• Provide constructive verbal feedback to Park Place Hospitality Group about property and maintenance team members.

• Mentors and motivates maintenance team members to ensure top performance.
• Represent the company with partners, bankers, investors and management.
• Fosters a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company
• Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.


Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Business Management or equivalent
Minimum of four years’ experience as maintenance supervisor in a commercial building, preferably a hotel.

• HVAC Certification
• Working knowledge of plumbing and electrical procedures.
• Works well with management, peers, and subordinates.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication and administrative skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical and procedural manuals and regulations,
• Effectively communicates with all levels of individuals
• Extensive working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and all aspects of maintenance.
• Construction knowledge preferred.
• Experience in supervising, coaching and developing staff.
• Analytical skills and maintenance background.
• Proven ability to work well in a fast-paced, high change environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Positive attitude, flexibility, and ability to multi-task
• Bi-lingual preferred

Physical Demands
This is a regional position and is considered medium in physical demand. Requirements include the ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, and extend arms and hands forward and overhead, finger and grasp. Must be able to occasionally bend, crouch or stoop. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Must have record of good vision.

Work is completed both in and out of doors. The indoor work environment is with temperature control and natural and artificial light. The outdoor work environment includes all weather conditions and materials used in maintenance work. Regular exposure to paint fumes, solvents, adhesives, carpet fumes, chemical fumes, toner products for printer and copier, pool chemicals, and others.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Take initiative and works independently while contributing to the overall success of the hotel.
• Effectively organize, prioritize and time manage workload
• Maintains discretion in working with sensitive and confidential information.
