About the Position:
This role will be embedded within the Gas Enablement team to support, oversee and engage all work related to compliance as part of the program road map. In this role, an active involvement and leadership will be expected to build the development and implementation of gas compliance within the program. The role will take an active role in integrating the API 1173 work from the Pipeline Safety and Compliance model into the Gas Enablement project work stream ensuring that it is fully embedded. This role will be expected to lead an assurance process and create a stage gating method during the implementation stage of the Gas Enablement program to ensure that API 1173 has been fully integrated. The role will be expected to act as a key liaison between Pipeline Safety and Compliance and Gas Enablement ensuring clear visibility with each groups work developments.
Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Responsible for overall gas compliance and Pipeline Safety deliverables within Gas Enablement.
Engage Gas Business by partner with the gas business to embed a simplified approach to Pipeline Safety and Compliance. Partner with all the Gas Enablement work groups including Process & Business Requirements, Business Readiness and Advanced Field Technology to ensure the embedding of API 1173 in the ?To Be Design Work?
Responsible for the monitoring the implementation of API 1173, ensure successful implementation of Pipeline Safety and Compliance into implantation planning.
Collaborate with Pipeline Safety & Compliance engineers and regional liaisons from Gas I&R, Construction, and Maintenance
Overall responsibility for working with 3rd party vendors to perform a Learning & Development capability assessment on field employee training and develop strategic road map to include into Gas Enablement.
Work in partnership with the Academy and the Business Readiness team to assure a high quality delivery of the Learning & Development road map
Assist the Gas business in implementing future components of the Company?s Pipeline Safety & Compliance management system and then help the business continuously improve on these during implementation.
Create and issue reports with metrics around the implementation of Pipeline Safety and Compliance measures during implementation phase of GE. Assist in the development of Pipeline Safety and Compliance KPI with the other program process and be responsible to report all areas of concern relative to the implementation and effectiveness of the Company?s Pipeline Safety & Compliance Management System.
Complete routine and non-routine internal or external Pipeline Safety & Compliance risk reports and associated performance management analysis.
Knowledge & Experience Required:
Bachelors' Degree in related area OR 5 years of equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree.
Broad knowledge of Instrumentation & Regulation, Gas System, and Gas Standards
Comprehensive knowledge of US Pipeline Safety & Compliance regulatory frameworks and an understanding of the twelve National Grid Risk Control Standards
Experience in risk identification, performance management and reporting.
Experience preferred with Pipeline Safety & Compliancetool - Cascade System.
Excellent knowledge of the technical and political issues related to Pipeline Safety & Compliance in all states of service territory and Federal requirements.
Be able to lead senior management Gas team in the area of Pipeline Safety & Compliance management.
Present an appropriate professional image and be recognized as an ethical, credible leader in the eyes of USLT, employees, regulators, interest groups and other stakeholders in the area of Pipeline Safety & Compliance.
Must have a valid driver's license with safe driving history.
