Enhance stakeholder value by providing finance expertise, leadership, and support to the Sales and Brand organizations. Partner with cross-functional teams to provide actionable business analytics and fact-based recommendations that will assist in delivering against stated financial objectives. Actively participate in key finance functional initiatives and display an initiatitve to win in a fast paced environment. At least 3 years of related experience.
Under general supervision, responsible for a variety of financial duties surrounding Trade, Slotting, OSD, and Sales reporting and analysis including, but not limited to, development of standardized Sales management reporting and analysis, Customer scorecards, Trade and Sales forecast/trend reporting, Customer performance/profitability, etc.
Assist in building financial forecasts and annual plan for Trade, Slotting, and OSD, and explaining key drivers, risks, and opportunities
Work with Customer Strategy Planning team to understand risks and opportunities between Sales projections, targets, and the internal P&Ls
Assist and understand pricing recommendations and customer spending strategy changes to ensure we have appropriate visibility in the P&L
Under general supervision, complete ad hoc requests as needed (such as Customer P&Ls, analyses in the areas of Trade tactics, returns on investment, promotion breakeven, promotion strategy, pricing realization, competitive analyses, etc.); provide insights and recommendations to management
Evaluate monthly and quarterly Sales metrics/scorecards including Brand and Customer gross and net sales performance, working Trade expense, cost of goods sold, and Customer profitability
Serve as a resource for the Sales organization on accounting and finance related questions
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting required – MBA/CPA a pluss
Three years of business experience with financial analysis and data management, preferably within CPG industry with work history consisting of Brand finance or Sales finance
P&L background/experience along with knowledge of financial systems and accounting concepts
Demonstrated professional success, with an ability to deal with ambiguity, change, and a dynamic business environment
Experience accurately forecasting in a given area and understanding the key drivers of that area
Ability to leverage analytics and insights to generate meaningful financial solutions
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with strong financial business acumen
Experience leading multiple stage projects from conception to completion
Proven ability to develop strong relationships and partnerships with internal customers and peers
Strong computer skills in Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and SAP
Proficiency managing and making recommendations for efficiencies with systems and tools
Fundamental knowledge of GAAP accounting policies
