The Regional Fiduciary Services Manager (RFSM) is responsible for fiduciary (trust) services in the assigned region and is accountable for the business' overall performance. The RFSM acts at a strategic level to uncover growth opportunities within the Wealth Management division and across the broader First Citizens Bank footprint and to mitigate risk through fiduciary oversight. The RFSM executes their responsibility by leading a team of trust officers in the acquisition and retention of individual client relationships. The RFSM is responsible for motivating their team to promote business by proactively developing Centers of Influence (COI's) in their markets. The RFSM will provide coaching to team members (Fiduciary Officers, Manager Fiduciary Services and Client Services Specialists) in promoting solutions grounded in the application of fiduciary investment, consulting and planning knowledge as the foundation for client relationship management and expansion. This position will have an emphasis on coaching to the sales process, pipeline development, partnership across Wealth the Bank and management and fiduciary oversight. The RFSM is accountable for managing fiduciary revenue growth, operational finances and risk management.
Lead the delivery and fiduciary oversight of advisory-based services to Wealth clients in collaboration with the broader Wealth Management team including Client Advisors, Private Bankers, Investment Portfolio Strategists, Wealth Planners and Financial Advisors.
Drive fiduciary financial performance through growth strategies, expense efficiency, budget management and sales performance accountability. Communicate and hold accountable a clear and cohesive sales management process and manage team of Fiduciary Officers, Client Service Specialists and Fiduciary Managers appropriately.
Act as a fiduciary thought leader by influencing awareness and understanding of trusts and estate planning in assigned region. Joint call actively with Client Advisors, Portfolio Strategists, Private Bankers, Wealth Planners and Fiduciary Officers.
Mitigate risk through fiduciary oversight, document reviews, fee negotiation, discretionary distribution approval, assuring proper controls and satisfactory audits. Hold team accountable to policies and procedures and ensure proper compliance with regulatory requirements and the Bank's risk profile.
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 12 years experience in personal trust administration, compliance and sales leadership.
Certified Trust & Financial Advisor (CTFA) or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation at time of hire or ability to obtain within 12 months.
Extensive Training in Trust issues e.g., ABA Trust School, Southeastern Trust School, Cannon Institute, etc.
Post graduate degree.
