Direct Operation’s Team Leaders and union workforce to achieve KPIs.
Understand performance metrics; analyze trends to understand performance opportunities and to close gaps.
Provide leadership and mentoring to Operations Team Leaders to build technical and professional capability.
Leverages ConAgra's Performance System to drive Total Productive Maintenance and improve overall line efficiency/performance.
Monitor daily production to ensure production quotas are met and targeted KPIs are achieved.
Ensures 100% compliance with food safety and food quality expectations.
Champions safety for the department while influencing plant wide safety performance.
Manage labor and yield reports.
Monitor and manage department budget and spending.
Manage miscellaneous issues stemming from the Union. Act as necessary to meet the business needs of the Company while honoring the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Provide necessary support during new product development and rollout, and startups of new equipment.
Lead efforts at continuous process improvement.
Execute organizational change and strive for continuous process improvement.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company policies and procedures, programs and practices.
Maintain the ability to perform value added administrative / office work as required to ensure customer, plant and functional needs are met or exceeded.
Anticipate the needs of the customer, plant and department in order to provide goods and services at the highest quality and the lowest cost.
Ability to work flexible shift to develop team’s capability on all shifts.
Be able to have a "back up person available to cover for absence of this role.
Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Science, Business, Management, or other related field required
5+ years of production manufacturing experience required, food preferred.
5 years of management experience required
3 years of union manufacturing experience preferred.
Experience with Lean/TPM continuous improvement tools/methodology required.
Strong change management skills in a highly complex and ambiguous vertical start up environment.
Proven ability to coach and develop associates.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
Technically oriented, comfortable around machinery and plant environment.
Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret a variety of technical information in mathematical and/or narrative form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Ability to think strategically while understanding the big picture.
Ability to work well under pressure with multiple projects and deadlines.
Ability to work with people of vastly different experiences and educational backgrounds.
Ability to utilize common sense and rational logic when making decisions.
Ability to prioritize and execute upon aggressive goals, objectives, and action items.
