Position Summary:

  • Provides highly complex and comprehensive analysis for strategies and events related to customer funding
    • May include analysis in the areas of price strategy, promotions strategy and realization, and/or trade operations.  Analyzes customer-specific market trends, product volume, margin and competitive prices, and/or promotional tactics/strategies and provides recommendations to cross functional partners (i.e., Customer Strategy & Planning, Brand, and Sales)
    • Support CSP in helping manage in-market execution as it relates to trade tactics and pricing changes and opportunities at specific customers
    • Review promotional programs to understand event profitability and make recommendations to sales to deliver greater balanced ROI’s, driving incrementality while optimizing trade spend



  • Partner with sales organization to drive actionable planning solutions and trade efficiencies linked to our retailer specific promotional plans
  • The individual will bring visibility, transparency, and analytical rigor to pricing and trade promotions working closely with cross functional partners (Pricing Strategy, Analytics & Insights, CSP, and Sales/Brand Finance)
  • Develop insights using appropriate analytical tools to improve margins and grow topline (for both CAG and retail partners)
  • Analyze pricing and merchandising impacts across different customers and regions
    • Help build our key performance indicators for pricing and trade with the Pricing Strategy team
    • Create consistent and actionable scorecard reporting, as well as other standardized reporting
    • Create and distribute clear and consistent price impact reporting to brands and customer teams
    • Work closely with Pricing Strategy team to refine pricing and trade strategies/tactics for key brands based on trade promotion analysis
    • Play key role in set cadence for review of pricing and trade analytics with SLT, brand teams, CSP, and sales partners
      • Prepare business reviews for monthly reviews with SLT, brand teams, and CSP
  • Assist Ad hoc requests as needed such as, analyses in the areas related to promotional planning, and detailed event level analysis
  • Execute promotional review tool updates and enhancements
  • Assist in managing on-site and external vendors for completion of analytical research
  • Assist in directing analytic vendors to drive actionable insights


  • Business-related Bachelor’s degree required, MBA is a plus
  • 3+ years business experience, preferably within CPG industry with work history consisting of [trade] analytics, business development, category management, and/or finance experience
  • Advanced computer skills – proficient in all Microsoft Office applications: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, as well as database management

  • Understands how to fuse third party and internal data, understanding the importance of accurate data
  • Special emphasis on spreadsheet development and automation is a plus
  • Working knowledge of retail merchandising and in store execution tactics is a plus
