Responsible for leading the high level concept and design of all phases of data analytics (extraction, analysis, manipulation, synthesis, summary, validation, testing, and maintenance) with the objective of creating and building predictive models & algorithms for clinical and operational initiatives as identified by PCCI.
Education: -Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Informatics, Computer Science, Operations Research or a related field.
Experience: -Seven years of research or applied experience in designing, building, evaluating, or implementing healthcare predictive models, software and/or technology in a scientific environment. -Experience writing, reviewing, editing, submitting, completing and obtaining peer-reviewed manuscripts and grants. -Prefer experience working with healthcare administrative datasets and/or electronic medical record (EMR) systems and data to build and evaluate predictive models. -Prefer experience in solution development for healthcare delivery systems. -A proven track record of previous scientific publications and grants.
Skills or Special Abilities: -Demonstrate outstanding and advanced statistical knowledge, skills and experience. Must be experienced and skillful at statistical methods and modeling including various types of logistic regressions, missing data imputation, and model development. -Familiar with the current state of advanced analysis for big data and the trends in other related fields or disciplines. Able to perform statistical power analysis and provide statistical support for a wide range of studies using various study designs and analytical models. -Excellent statistical analysis knowledge, skills and abilities in advanced data management and statistical programming using software such as R, SAS, or STATA. -Knowledge of EPIC/Clarity database and other Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and understands the architecture of data structure. -Able to architect systems and algorithms in various healthcare related domains, including structured and non-structured EMR (electronic medical record) fields, different sources, and the integration efforts. -Proven ability to take initiatives in evaluating projects by identifying key partners and collaborators, and proposing strategies and action plans. -A clear understanding of the challenges and complexities of the projects and be able to formulate and propose strategies and action plans. -Ability to build models and utilize statistical methods including data imputation, time series, logistic regression, survival analysis, neural networks and other modeling techniques. -Expertise to perform exploratory data analysis and implement propensity models. -Coordinate access and perform data transformation to support model development and validation. -Utilize data mining techniques and information retrieval methods to gather business intelligence. -Excellent communication and presentation skills. -Excellent customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills. -Familiar with project management -Familiar with integrated data analysis methods, workflow, and user interface.
