Job Summary:

Lead the strategic development and execution for key brand lines of business that are the primary growth opportunities for the brand. Understand the consumer needs and wants and leverage to create winning consumer strategies for communications and product positioning/development. Define strategies and translate those strategies into initiatives that will result in accelerated share and profit growth through focused and holistic marketing plans, enrolling and aligning leaders at all levels in the plans. Analyze syndicated and panel data to uncover opportunities or threats and work with the sales teams to create and implement action plans. Work closely with consumer insights, product development, sales, and manufacturing to optimize product lines and deliver sustainable profit growth. 3 to 5 years industry experience. MBA is required.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops brand positioning, advertising, pricing and new product strategies
  • Collaborates to understand, align and activate against target consumer behavior and insights
  • Create and align senior management to multi-year brand strategic plans
  • Develops and aligns annual marketing plan
  • Provides oversight of annual marketing plan execution. Integrates activities of key departments.
  • Evaluates progress against plan and recommends corrective action as needed.
  • Identifies opportunities and implements plans for line extensions and new product introductions.
  • Analyzes consumer trends and research data.
  • Maximizes profitability of assigned product lines.
  • Monitors timelines and effectiveness of tactical plan execution.
  • Controls the consumer marketing budget
  • Develops and implements annual brand plans
  • Assist marketing in reviewing the activities of external agencies
  • Actively manages P&L variances to attain annual and long-range financial objectives.
  • Analyzes brand business results and marketplace dynamics to provide on-going marketing mix recommendations.
  • Frequently communicates opportunities and risks.
  • Assists in the development and communication of effective trade customer strategies.
  • Identifies opportunities and implements plans for line extensions and new product introductions.
  • Leads development of the brand management organization and player-coaching of ABMs and interns


Job Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of consumer product brand management experience, preferably in the food industry.
  • Experience managing multiple projects at once in a fast paced, matrix management environment
  • MBA required
